Commercial Wi-Fi

Consumer routers don't cut it in a commercial building. We design and install enterprise Wi-Fi with access points placed for real coverage, backed by proper cabling and switching.

Overview

Good Wi-Fi in a commercial space is a design problem, not a shopping problem. Building materials, tenant density, and neighboring networks all shape where APs need to go and how they should be tuned.

We design coverage, install and cable enterprise access points, and configure SSIDs, VLANs, and guest access on controllers or cloud-managed platforms. The result is a network that behaves the same at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

What you get

  • AP placement based on the building, not a guess
  • Separate SSIDs and VLANs for staff, guests, and devices
  • PoE cabling and switching sized for current and next-gen APs
  • Roaming that actually hands off between APs
  • Monitoring so problems surface before users report them
Capabilities

What we install and support.

Enterprise AP install

Ceiling and wall-mount APs from major enterprise platforms.

RF coverage design

AP counts and placement matched to floor plan and materials.

Band & channel planning

2.4, 5, and 6 GHz tuned for density and neighbors.

SSIDs & VLANs

Staff, guest, IoT, and BYOD separated correctly.

Post-install validation

Coverage and throughput verified on the actual floor.

Security & guest access

WPA3, PSK rotation, and captive portals where appropriate.

Applications

Where this work belongs.

We work across commercial property types throughout Tampa Bay and Florida. If your building isn't listed, ask — chances are we've done it.

Process

A repeatable process, from walk to handoff.

  1. Assess

Floor plan, materials, tenant count, and device profile reviewed.

  2. Design

AP placement plan with coverage and capacity goals.

  3. Cable

PoE runs to each AP location on Cat6 or Cat6A.

  4. Install

APs mounted, cabled, and adopted to the controller.

  5. Configure

SSIDs, VLANs, radio settings, and guest access.

  6. Validate

Walk-through survey and adjustments as needed.

Technical notes

Details that actually matter.

6 GHz and Wi-Fi 6E / 7

6 GHz opened a lot of clean spectrum for high-density spaces. It's only worthwhile if the client devices and cabling to the AP can actually use it — Cat6A and multi-gig switching are usually the pinch point.

Coverage isn't enough — capacity matters

A single AP can cover a big room and still fall over at 30 users. We design for the number of active clients and airtime, not just signal strength on a map.
