Business Phone Systems & VoIP Installation

Most VoIP problems turn out to be network problems. We install business phone systems the right way: proper cabling, PoE switching, voice VLANs, and QoS so calls sound the same at peak load as they do at 7 a.m.

Overview

Whether you're moving to a cloud platform or standing up an on-prem system, the physical layer decides how it performs. Handsets need clean PoE runs, switches need enough power budget, and voice traffic needs to be separated and prioritized.

We handle the install side start to finish: cabling and switching, handset placement and provisioning, voice VLAN and QoS configuration, and coordination with your provider on porting and cutover so the phones work the next morning.

What you get

  • Every handset on a tested, labeled cable drop
  • PoE budget sized for the full handset count, not just today's
  • Voice on its own VLAN with QoS so calls survive busy hours
  • Provisioned handsets at the desks and areas that need them
  • A cutover planned around your hours, not ours

Process

A repeatable process, from walk to handoff.

  1. Scope

Handset counts, locations, and the existing network and cabling reviewed.

  2. Plan the network

Switch capacity, PoE budget, VLAN, and QoS approach decided up front.

  3. Cable

New drops pulled and tested; existing drops verified before reuse.

  4. Configure

Switches, VLANs, and handset provisioning prepared ahead of cutover.

  5. Install & cut over

Phones deployed and the switch scheduled with your provider.

  6. Verify

Call quality, paging, and common-area phones checked on site.

Technical notes

Details that matter on site.

PoE budget is the usual surprise

A switch rated for PoE rarely means every port at full power. Handsets sharing a switch with access points and cameras can quietly run past the budget, and the symptom looks like phones rebooting at random rather than a power problem.

QoS only works end to end

Marking voice traffic at the switch does nothing if it gets stripped or ignored upstream. The voice VLAN, the switch queues, and the router or firewall policy all have to agree. That mismatch is where most complaints about calls breaking up in the afternoon come from.
